Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stewey Quagmire!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quagmire tries to score a power double leg takedown but Engelmann sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Quagmire somewhat.
Engelmann lands a head kick. Quagmire smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Engelmann shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Quagmire manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Engelmann wants to get up but he can't break Quagmire's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Quagmire lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

It looks like Quagmire might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Engelmann closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Quagmire's guard.

Let's hope that Quagmire has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Engelmann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quagmire swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Engelmann has an active guard here but Quagmire has managed to pass into half guard.
