The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hill fakes the leg kick and cracks Santos in the body.

Hill clinches up against the cage.
Santos wants to get back to striking at distance but Hill won't allow it.
Hill just leaning against Santos, taking a breather.

Hill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Santos scores with a three punch combo!
Santos fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hill cracks Santos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Dave Santos has been cut.
Santos wants to clinch

and Hill holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hill lands a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A left hand lands to the body for Santos.

Santos tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Santos has had enough of the clinch but Hill keeps him there for the moment.

Santos is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hill is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Santos to the mat. Santos regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hill has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Santos is trying to keep an underhook but Hill manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Hill shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hill was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hill tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Hill counters with a left and a right that stings Santos.
Hill shoots in for a double leg but Santos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The cut above Dave Santos's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hill swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Santos.
Hill lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Hill closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hill pushes Santos back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Santos tries to pull guard but Hill won't allow it.
Bobby Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Santos.

Dave Santos's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
