Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arya Reza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Reza might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fort minor - Remeber the NAME !. Adams has chosen When Worlds Collide as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Adams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reza swivels and escapes.

Reza tries to keep at a distance but Adams has taken the fight into the clinch.
Adams wants a takedown but no success here.

Adams pulls Reza into guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Adams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Adams is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Reza has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Adams is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Adams throws a shot from downtown. Reza moves away and avoids it.
Reza shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Adams but Adams pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Adams steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reza.
Reza throws a head kick that misses.
Adams scores with a jab to the jaw.
Adams lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Adams swats away the attempt to clinch by Reza.
Adams throws a series of punches but Reza avoids them all with ease.
Reza connects with a body shot.

Adams misses with the combination.
Adams throws a wild body kick that Reza sees coming a mile off.
Adams misses with a takedown attempt - Reza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Arya Reza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Adams.
Adams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reza has time to react.

and Reza counters with a shoot takedown. Adams fights it but they end up in guard.
Reza is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reza not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Adams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Reza is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Adams scores with a couple of nice shots.
Adams works his way into full mount!
Adams looking to control and managing it successfully.
Adams trying to control but Reza is having none of it.
Adams is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Reza can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Adams wants to control the pace but Reza is squirming around nicely.

Adams working for a submission but Reza is keeping him at bay.
Adams looking to control and managing it successfully.

Adams has hold of Reza's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Reza manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Reza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adams on the ground.
Reza is wriggling around trying to escape.
Reza is trying to stand up.
Adams in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Reza counters by clinching up.

Reza ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Reza no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Adams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Adams might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Reza kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Adams has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Reza should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Adams has tightened it up now! Reza should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
