Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ludo Van Veen!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Veen missing with a left hand there. Stone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Van Veen connects with a leg kick. Stone looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Stone takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Van Veen swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Van Veen misses with a body punch
and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Van Veen tries to clinch but Stone moves away
and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Van Veen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stone manages to avoid it.
As Van Veen backs away, Stone returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Van Veen throws a jab but it's blocked by Stone.
It looked like Stone wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Van Veen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Van Veen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Stone throws a quick counter kick to the body but Van Veen avoids it.
Stone's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Van Veen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stone scrambles back to his feet.
Van Veen throws a lazy uppercut
and Stone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Van Veen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Stone has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
Van Veen throws a wild body kick that Stone sees coming a mile off.
A slow jab from Van Veen misses its intended target.
Ludo Van Veen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Veen throws a nice outside leg kick.

And Stone counters with a quick kick to the body but Van Veen blocks it.

Stone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Stone doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Stone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stone tried to counter with a leg kick but Van Veen avoided it.

Stone stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Van Veen.
Stone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stone was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Van Veen throws a looping overhand right but Stone ducks down to avoid it.
Stone takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
Stone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Van Veen.

A little feinted left hand from Stone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Stone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Van Veen.
Van Veen throws a body kick, spinning off balance
enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab.
Van Veen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Van Veen takes a swing at Stone's ribcage but misses.
As Van Veen backs away, Stone returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Van Veen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stone.
Stone looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Van Veen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Van Veen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stone drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Van Veen misses the jab.
It looked like Stone was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Van Veen.
Van Veen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stone throws a quick counter kick to the body but Van Veen avoids it.

Stone moves out of range as Van Veen strikes.

and Stone counters with a good low kick that Van Veen was not able to check.

Stone takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Van Veen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
It appears Stone was looking to counter with a kick there.
Stone takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A bone on bone clash there as Stone blocks the leg kick.
Stone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Van Veen throws a shot from downtown. Stone moves away and avoids it.
Van Veen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stone makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Van Veen really felt that one!
Stone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Stone throws a quick counter kick to the body but Van Veen avoids it.
Van Veen throws a right hand that misses
and Stone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Van Veen throws a hook to the side of Stone's head but Stone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ludo Van Veen dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Van Veen throws a leg kick but Stone sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Stone jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Van Veen fakes the leg kick and cracks Stone in the body.
Van Veen cracks Stone with a good jab.
Van Veen digs a good hook to Stone's body.
Van Veen throws a poor cross that misses
and Stone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stone tries to move into range but Van Veen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Van Veen thows a leg kick but Stone checks it
and Stone counters with a body kick.
Good work by Stone as he checks the leg kick.
It looked like Stone was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Van Veen.
Van Veen throws a body punch but Stone moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Veen tries to clinch but Stone moves out of range.

and Stone counters with a crisp right hand that drops Van Veen! Stone lets Van Veen back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Van Veen darts in trying to clinch
and Stone counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
