The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryn Makar tries to clinch up but Lawrence circles away and keeps his distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bryn Makar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

We've been told by Lawrence's head coaches at The Forge that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Lawrence counters with a series of strikes. Bryn Makar will be more careful next time no doubt.

Lawrence takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
