Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Chabot (ranked 3635 p4p, 314 weight class) and Tommy Du Mahss (ranked 3875 p4p, 324 weight class). Tommy Du Mahss is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Du Mahss paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Du Mahss misses with a hook. Chabot ducked under it nicely.
Chabot is looking to slow Du Mahss down with leg kicks.
Chabot tries for a takedown but Du Mahss circles away easily
and Du Mahss counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Decent striking displayed by Du Mahss there.
Du Mahss has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Chabot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Du Mahss quickly recovers to half guard.
Chabot tries to stand and escape but Du Mahss is controlling the position.

Du Mahss has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Chabot is on him like a limpet, forcing Du Mahss back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chabot cracks Du Mahss with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Du Mahss has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chabot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Du Mahss lands with an uppercut that bounces Chabot off the cage and back into range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Du Mahss.

Chabot clinches up with Du Mahss and pushes him back against the cage.
Chabot is defending well against a takedown attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Chabot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Du Mahss throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Chabot is breathing heavily.
Chabot on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Du Mahss cracks Chabot with a good jab.
Du Mahss is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chabot had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

enabling Du Mahss to counter with a crisp jab.
Du Mahss throws a nice looking combination but Chabot bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chabot throws a left and a right that both miss
and Du Mahss counters with a three punch combo that has Chabot backing up. Chabot nods at Du Mahss to acknowledge the strikes.
Du Mahss connects with a single shot there.
Chabot shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Du Mahss sprawls well. Du Mahss wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chabot gets slowly back to his feet.
Du Mahss throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chabot stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Du Mahss comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Du Mahss clobbers Chabot with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sam Chabot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Du Mahss lands a big uppercut and Chabot crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Chabot looks OK. Du Mahss waves Chabot back to his feet!

Chabot is rocked!
Du Mahss lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
