Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monte Zuma (ranked 358 p4p, 50 weight class) and Howlin Wolf (ranked 364 p4p, 52 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Monte Zuma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Howlin Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zuma changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wolf looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Zuma tries for a kimura but Wolf is defending well.
Wolf is trying to control Zuma's posture but Zuma avoids it.

Zuma working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Zuma wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wolf, who protects the arm well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zuma thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

We've been hearing good reports from Zuma's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
You can see the frustration on Wolf's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wolf tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zuma wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Zuma is really struggling to control Wolf but he's trying to hold on to the position.

It looked like Zuma wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Zuma fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Zuma shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zuma showed some decent athleticism there.

Zuma is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wolf tries to get to full guard but Zuma has control of the leg.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Zuma is working for a kimura here but Wolf manages to reverse the position and he's now in Zuma's guard.
Wolf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Wolf got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zuma has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wolf has managed to get both his arms back between Zuma's legs - danger averted.

Wolf keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zuma's head.
Zuma is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wolf gets to his feet and stands over Zuma, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Zuma felt that one! Wolf unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Zuma from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Howlin Wolf!
A relieved looking Howlin Wolf thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
