PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christer Sjogren (ranked 3745 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Jackson (ranked 16012 p4p, 0 weight class). Sjogren is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson has his takedown stuffed
letting Sjogren counter with a right hand.
Sjogren is breathing heavily.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sjogren sprawls well. Sjogren wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sjogren tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sjogren to the ground. Sjogren escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Christer Sjogren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Jackson.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sjogren keeps working.

Jackson has an Americana. Sjogren didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jackson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jackson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
