Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Ignacio Zimmerman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lamar Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zimmerman.
Kingston keeps the fight on the outside.
Zimmerman shoots for a takedown but Kingston saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kingston has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kingston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kingston closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zimmerman to the mat! Zimmerman manages to get full guard.
Zimmerman wants to get back to his feet but Kingston passes into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kingston prevents Zimmerman from improving his position.

Zimmerman is not content to let Kingston control the position.
Kingston tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Zimmerman.
Kingston seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zimmerman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Zimmerman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Zimmerman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kingston defends well.
Kingston chips away with some ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zimmerman is on top in guard.

Zimmerman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zimmerman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kingston controls Zimmerman momentarily but Zimmerman frees himself.

Kingston wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Zimmerman is now in half guard.
Kingston wants to improve his position but Zimmerman is controlling well.
Kingston trying to hold on to Zimmerman's head to control him but Zimmerman postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kingston wants to sweep but Zimmerman has passed to side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kingston managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Zimmerman.
Kingston tries to improve position but can't.
Zimmerman lands some shots froms side control.
Kingston tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Zimmerman connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Kingston to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ignacio Zimmerman will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kingston shoots in and drives through. Zimmerman sprawls well.
Kingston stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kingston wants it to stay on the feet.
Kingston is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Zimmerman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Zimmerman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zimmerman lands in his opponent's guard.

Kingston pushes Zimmerman off and scrambles back to his feet.

Zimmerman is trying to stick to Kingston's back but Kingston is turning into Zimmerman. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Zimmerman's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kingston.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Lamar Kingston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Kingston misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kingston shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zimmerman pinned against the cage. Zimmerman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zimmerman appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Zimmerman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kingston's waist but Kingston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zimmerman off to one side.
Kingston gets off balance looking for a body kick

Kingston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zimmerman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Zimmerman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Zimmerman stands up over Kingston, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kingston is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Kingston slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Zimmerman is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Zimmerman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kingston wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kingston trying to control the position but Zimmerman is working away.
Zimmerman tries to improve position but can't.
Kingston working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kingston laying and praying for a moment but Zimmerman takes advantage and regains half guard.
Kingston content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Zimmerman wants to improve his position but Kingston is controlling well.

Lamar Kingston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kingston has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
