The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maben looks to throw the jab but Allen is out of range.
Allen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch but Maben swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Maben throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As Maben backs off Allen throws a huge counter combo but Maben manages to avoid it all.
Allen shoots in looking for a takedown. Maben tries to sprawl out of it but Allen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maben manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Allen cracks Maben with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maben. Allen does a little dance to reset his feet.
