The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mikey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Salli.
Mikey with the counter takedown but Salli avoids it easily.
Salli shoots for a double leg takedown but Mikey sprawls well. He's pushed Salli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Salli forces Mikey back against the cage and clinches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Salli seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mikey for as long as he can get away with.
