Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muhammad Gartzen (ranked 3336 p4p, 384 weight class) and Alexandre Ribeiro (ranked 1244 p4p, 167 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ribeiro's choice of entrance music: Ratos de Porao - Sofrer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro lands a right hook to the body.

Ribeiro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Gartzen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ribeiro lands a really nice looking cross but Gartzen seems unphased.

It looks like Muhammad Gartzen has been cut.
Gartzen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Alexandre Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ribeiro moves out of range as Gartzen throws a body kick.

Ribeiro wants the takedown. Gartzen is fighting it off but Ribeiro persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gartzen's guard against the ropes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ribeiro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A relieved looking Alexandre Ribeiro thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
