Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Gustavo Santos (ranked 3042 p4p, 75 weight class) and Ricco McGregor (ranked 7405 p4p, 182 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McGregor.
Santos definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Santos looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Santos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Santos ducks right into an uppercut from McGregor.

It looks like Gustavo Santos has been cut.
Santos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Santos.
Santos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
McGregor scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Santos doesn't seem bothered though.

McGregor scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Santos to his hands and knees! The ref pushes McGregor away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Santos got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

Santos is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A looping hook to the body misses from McGregor. Santos does a little dance to reset his feet.
Santos is looking for a counter combo.
Oh Santos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Santos walks into a straight right hand and goes down! McGregor rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Santos has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Gustavo Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGregor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Santos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McGregor ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
McGregor cracks Santos with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Santos is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Santos is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Santos could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ricco McGregor!
