PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reynaldo Zamarripa (ranked 2763 p4p, 293 weight class) and Rustam Uzdenov (ranked 3586 p4p, 0 weight class). Zamarripa has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reynaldo Zamarripa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rustam Uzdenov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uzdenov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Uzdenov is putting a hurting on Zamarripa here, landing some big shots from side control.
Zamarripa is breathing heavily.
Zamarripa takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Zamarripa is rocked!
Zamarripa is trying to improve his position.
Oh Zamarripa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Uzdenov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zamarripa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uzdenov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Zamarripa is looking for a sweep.
Zamarripa takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Zamarripa on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Zamarripa gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Uzdenov wants to free his trapped foot but Zamarripa is holding on for dear life with his legs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Uzdenov is nestled in close to Zamarripa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Zamarripa has hold of Uzdenov's hands but Uzdenov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uzdenov lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Zamarripa! More strikes land and this one is all over! Uzdenov jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
