Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rolland Wiggins (ranked 24582 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bean Na (ranked 4794 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rolland Wiggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bean Na!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiggins tries to close the distance and clinch but Na swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Na shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wiggins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Na closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wiggins's guard.
Na lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Na is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Na's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Na looking to pass the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wiggins wants to hit a switch here but Na passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Wiggins there!

Na wants to finish this one by submission but Wiggins is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Na.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Na is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wiggins can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Na working for a guillotine from mount but Wiggins is in no mood to give up.
Na trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Na looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Na goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Wiggins is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Na is controlling Wiggins's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Na is continuing to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Na wants to sweep here but Wiggins controlling him for the moment.
Wiggins tries to stand but Na is controlling from the bottom.
Na seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Na's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wiggins stopping the sweep attempt from Na.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Na trying to control the position here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bean Na dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Na fails with the takedown
enabling Wiggins to counter with a crisp jab.

Na feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Na is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wiggins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wiggins has escaped and now he's on top!

Na pulls Wiggins in close to his closed guard and prevents Wiggins from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wiggins throws a big elbow that misses.
Wiggins wants to stand but Na has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Na seems keen to control Wiggins's posture.
The adventures of Na the control monster continue. Boring.
Wiggins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wiggins is looking to work some ground and pound but Na has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wiggins stopping the sweep attempt from Na.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wiggins wants to stand but Na is controlling his posture from full guard.
Na has Wiggins pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Na shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wiggins as he avoids it easily.
Na fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rolland Wiggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bean Na.
Na doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wiggins counters with a nice uppercut.
Na is breathing heavily.

Wiggins closes the distance and clinches.
Na is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Wiggins pulls guard effortlessly.

Na has gone for a leg lock! Wiggins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Na's guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wiggins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Na is proving hard to escape from.
Bean Na has got the better of the ground game so far.
Na looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Let's hope that Na has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Na looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Wiggins trying to stand up but can't free himself from Na's guard.
Na is adopting a defensive guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Na is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Wiggins has his hands clasped together but Na extends and breaks Wiggins's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Na.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bean Na!
