Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Xyryx Ignacio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Tantalau!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ignacio rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tantalau counters with a shoot takedown. Ignacio fights it but they end up in guard.
Ignacio has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tantalau off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Ignacio misses with a looping left.
Ignacio avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ignacio lands a nice shot that snaps Tantalau's head back.
Tantalau tries to clinch but Ignacio moves out of range.
Tantalau shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ignacio as he avoids it easily.
Tantalau fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ignacio misses with a straight right.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ignacio throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tantalau counters with a single leg into guard. Ignacio didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tantalau trying to control but Ignacio is working from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ignacio holds on and takes a little breather.
Ignacio's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Tantalau pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ignacio is keeping the position for now.

Tantalau is still trying to improve position.
Ignacio looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ignacio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tantalau on the ground.
Tantalau trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ignacio keeping moving, preventing Tantalau from controlling successfully.
Tantalau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ignacio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Tantalau wants to clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tantalau thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ignacio closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ignacio connects with an inside leg kick.
Tantalau has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tantalau there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tantalau tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ignacio manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ignacio wants to slow Tantalau down by chopping away at his legs.
Tantalau has a takedown stuffed.
Tantalau is looking to clinch.
Ignacio works the jab nicely.
Ignacio fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Tantalau to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Tantalau looks to clinch but Ignacio throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Tantalau taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
