Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sunray Spike (ranked 27 p4p, 1 weight class) and Diarmuid Curry (ranked 110 p4p, 2 weight class). Spike comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. The crowd seem to be enjoying Curry's choice of entrance music: Epic Celtic Music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curry throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Curry has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Spike with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Curry to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Sunray Spike has been cut.
Spike has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Curry.
Curry throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Spike blocks the body kick.
Curry scores with a crisp jab that stopped Spike in his tracks.
Spike takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Curry throws a wild body kick that Spike sees coming a mile off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spike throws a combination that misses
and Curry counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Spike moves out of range of the body kick.
Curry swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A shot to the liver by Spike. Beautiful body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Spike looks to land a body kick but Curry moved away.
Curry moves into range and connects with a jab.
Curry lands a big head kick that sends Spike tumbling to the mat! Curry takes a step backwards and waves Spike back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Spike walks straight into a right hand from Curry - that's dropped him! Curry jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Spike from any more punishment! Spike complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Diarmuid Curry!
