Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olvi Kurko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis has chosen Duality as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Evan Reis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Evan Reis!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kurko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reis's waist but Reis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kurko off to one side.

Kurko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kurko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kurko looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Reis can't escape the position.
Reis tries to hold on but Kurko postures up.

Kurko has hold of Reis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Reis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Reis regains half guard.

Reis looking for submissions off his back.
Reis works his way to full guard. Good work.

Reis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kurko drops back looking for a leg! Reis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reis manages to kick Kurko off! Kurko jumps back into Reis's guard.
Kurko is breathing heavily.

Reis pushes a forearm under Kurko's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kurko is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
