Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Codename Colt (ranked 6547 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 24153 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Colt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Xxx sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Xxx let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Xxx stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Xxx wants it to stay on the feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Xxx misses.
Xxx gets caught flat footed, as Colt shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Colt stops Xxx from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Colt stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Xxx moves into the clinch.

Colt wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Xxx has him pressed against the cage.
Xxx goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Xxx tries to throw a body punch but Colt avoids it by throwing Xxx back against the cage.

Xxx can't find room to land a body shot as Colt controls the action.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Colt goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Xxx is fighting off a takedown attempt but Colt is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Xxx to the mat. Xxx regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Xxx controls Colt momentarily but Colt frees himself.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Xxx is pulling down on Colt's head. It's preventing any offense from Colt, at least for the moment.
Xxx is looking to stand up but Colt isn't so interested in that idea.

Colt wants to stand and escape but instead Xxx has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Colt kicks Xxx off and gets to his feet.
Xxx lands with a shot to the body.
Xxx has managed to clinch.

Xxx can't find room to land a body shot as Colt controls the action.
Colt struggles to land a body shot inside as Xxx controls his hands.
Colt tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Xxx's elbow.
Xxx wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Codename Colt will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown attempt by Colt or perhaps it was just good defense by Xxx, which made it look bad.

Colt is trying to break the clinch but Xxx is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
