Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tucker Robinson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Robinson with that takedown attempt.

Robinson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vargas but Vargas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Robinson lands a nice hook to Vargas's body. Vargas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Robinson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Robinson tries to land knees in the clinch but Vargas avoids the damage to the body.

Vargas has Robinson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Robinson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Robinson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vargas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Vargas counters by moving into the clinch.

Robinson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Robinson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vargas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Robinson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee asks Vargas politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Vargas prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Robinson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vargas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vargas wants it to stay on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Robinson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Robinson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vargas wants to take the fight to the mat but Robinson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Robinson drags the fight down to the ground.
Robinson has his hands on Vargas's head, controlling the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Donn Vargas.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vargas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
