Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between jesus dasilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Cheekbreaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jesus dasilva looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, jesus dasilva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheekbreaker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
dasilva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Cheekbreaker throws a shot to the body.
Cheekbreaker looks to land a combination. dasilva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like jesus dasilva has been cut.
dasilva takes one to the chin there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick lands from Cheekbreaker that sends dasilva to the canvas. dasilva tries to scramble back to his feet but Cheekbreaker brings him back down into side control.
Cheekbreaker trying to control the position but dasilva is working away.
Cheekbreaker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
dasilva is looking for a sweep.
Cheekbreaker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

dasilva wants to control his opponent's hands but Cheekbreaker gets his hands free.
dasilva has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Cheekbreaker doesn't have the hooks in and dasilva manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
dasilva wants to stand but Cheekbreaker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cheekbreaker fails in his attempt to clinch.
dasilva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cheekbreaker's waist but Cheekbreaker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing dasilva off to one side.

Cheekbreaker shoots in looking for a takedown. dasilva tries to sprawl out of it but Cheekbreaker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. dasilva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
dasilva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cheekbreaker but Cheekbreaker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
dasilva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck for dasilva with that takedown attempt.

Cheekbreaker sizes up dasilva with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

dasilva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cheekbreaker shoots for a double leg takedown but dasilva sprawls well. He's pushed Cheekbreaker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

dasilva closes the distance and clinches up with Cheekbreaker, looking for a takedown. dasilva pushes Cheekbreaker against the cage but Cheekbreaker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cheekbreaker works over dasilva's head and body with a nice combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronald Cheekbreaker dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Cheekbreaker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with dasilva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

dasilva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
dasilva winds up and cracks Cheekbreaker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
dasilva drops an elbow to the side of Cheekbreaker's head.
dasilva stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Cheekbreaker is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
A head kick from Cheekbreaker lands but dasilva takes it in his stride.
dasilva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
dasilva has hold of Cheekbreaker's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cheekbreaker tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - dasilva cranks the arm and Cheekbreaker screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cheekbreaker, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
