Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kernal White (ranked 4918 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nosmo King (ranked 6133 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kernal White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nosmo King!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches King napping and manages to drive through into side control!
King being controlled for a moment.
White postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

White working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
White just content to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King is trying to improve his position.
White throws an elbow but King slips to the side and avoids it well.
White controlling from side mount.
King tries to escape but White is in control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King can't do much from the bottom here.
King wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

White gets the takedown into side control.

White is trying to get an arm triangle but King is defending well.
White is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down King's shoulder. That is not cool.

White clinches up with King and pushes him back against the cage.
We've been informed that King has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

White breaks the clinch.
White misses with a body shot.

White fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging King to the ground. White is now in King's guard.

White slips nicely into half guard.
White not doing much here.
King won't allow White to pass to mount.
White controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
White wants to pass the guard but King is defending well.
White prevents King from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


King dodges the punch combination from White.
White stuffs the takedown attempt from King. King gets slowly back to his feet.
White slips a jab and a cross from King.
Kernal White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

White looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for King!
The referee asks White politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. White prefers to stall for the moment though.
King is trying to buck White off.

White swings around for an armbar but King sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into White's guard.
Kernal White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

White might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
King is looking to work some ground and pound but White has wrist control.

White on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if White tries to get out of the position.

White tries to land a sweep but no joy.
White utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
White seems keen to control King's posture.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
King fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

White shoots in and bounces King off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
White engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
White stands up over King, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as White controls the pace.

White drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick White off! White jumps back into King's guard.
King is controlling White's posture.
King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

White decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

White shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than White was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?
King being controlled for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


White wants to land a leg kick but King is out of range.
It seemed like King was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
King shoots in looking for a takedown but White manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

White changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but White wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

White decides to stand up, so the ref orders King to his feet.

White closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King tries to pull guard but White won't allow it.

King is fighting off a takedown attempt but White is just too persistent for him and manages to trip King to the mat. King regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

King is working an open guard so White takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

White moves into range and clinches up with King.

That's one minute gone in the round.

White breaks the clinch.
King shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but King keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kernal White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nosmo King.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

White shoots in and gets a takedown into King's guard.
King is wriggling around but White manages to pass to half guard.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

White looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
White throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing King to regain full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White scoring with some ground and pound.
White lands a couple of elbows.

White is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

White decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
No luck for King with that takedown attempt.

White feints and as King raises his hands in defense, White changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

White got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted.
King wants to improve his position but instead White has moved into half guard.
White content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
White tries to pass the half guard into mount. King knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
White drops an elbow to the side of King's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

White decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kernal White showed his dominance in that final round.
Well White has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
