The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies misses with a few strikes there.
Hopkins wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Davies walks into a straight right hand from Hopkins.
Hopkins slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Davies misses with a two punch combination.
Davies has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Davies there as he acknowledges the shot.
Davies throws a looping overhand right but Hopkins ducks down to avoid it.
A left lands for Hopkins.
Hopkins throws a series of strikes that have Davies backpedaling.

It looks like Mike Davies has been cut.

Davies is still on wobbly legs! Can Hopkins finish him?

and Hopkins counters with a nice leg kick.
Hopkins lands a nice leg kick that just misses Davies's sensitive parts.
Mike Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hopkins cracks Davies with an open hand slap.
Hopkins circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Davies to the canvas! Davies doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hopkins keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
