Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Longburn Rayson (ranked 1562 p4p, 195 weight class) and Russell Jimmerson (ranked 2695 p4p, 284 weight class). Rayson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Judas Priest - No Surrender. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rayson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

And Jimmerson tries to counter it with a takedown but Rayson pushes his down on his head and steps out.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jimmerson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jimmerson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jimmerson has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Jimmerson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rayson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jimmerson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jimmerson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rayson's half guard.
