The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soprano closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Soprano is nestled in close to Pouyan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Soprano is on top in guard.

Pouyan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Soprano puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Soprano seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Soprano has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Soprano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Soprano loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Pouyan scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Soprano land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Soprano stands and salutes the crowd.
