Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 2178 p4p, 274 weight class) and Mikael Brophy (ranked 2151 p4p, 270 weight class). Boyka's entrance music is Three 6 Mafia - Its A Fight lyrics . A fine choice. Brophy has chosen Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Yuri Boyka has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Yuri Boyka seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Boyka counters with a stiff right hand.

Brophy scores with a sloppy right hand. Boyka should have avoided that one.
Boyka throws a leg kick
and Brophy counters with a good low kick that Boyka was not able to check.

Brophy throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A bone on bone clash there as Boyka blocks the leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boyka lands a head kick. Brophy smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Brophy works over Boyka's head and body with a nice combination.

Brophy drops Boyka with a beautiful combination! Boyka stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Brophy is looking for the KO!

Boyka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brophy circles away quickly and effectively.
Boyka moves out of range as Brophy throws a body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters circling - Boyka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brophy replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Boyka blocks it well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Boyka's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Boyka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brophy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brophy cracks Boyka with a good jab.
Boyka misses with a body shot.
Boyka moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Brophy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Brophy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Brophy feints a jab promting Boyka to slip. Brophy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Boyka slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Boyka throws a combination that misses

and Brophy counters with a nice right hand that sends Boyka toppling to the canvas! Boyka scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Brophy finish him?!
Oh Boyka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brophy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boyka manages to avoid it.
Boyka leaves his chin hanging out and Brophy seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Boyka crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
