Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eugene Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zombie Houston!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Houston gets the takedown into side control.
Austin is trying to get back to half guard.
Houston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Austin keeps working.
Houston wants to stand but Austin is controlling his arm.
You can see the frustration on Austin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Houston wants to control his opponent's hands but Austin gets his hands free.
Austin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Houston is taking damage to the body and head.
Austin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Austin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee is taking a good look at Houston as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Austin!

Austin is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Austin gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Austin gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Austin apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Austin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Houston is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Austin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Houston wants to control the position but Austin says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Austin thows a huge punch but Houston dodges it nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Austin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Houston tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Austin is in Houston's guard.

Houston shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Austin's guard.

Eugene Austin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Austin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
