PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Leonardo Moraes (ranked 3360 p4p, 359 weight class) and Robin Van Roosmalen (ranked 23883 p4p, 580 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Roosmalen lands a jab to the nose.
Van Roosmalen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Moraes takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Moraes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Van Roosmalen finds it's way round the side to connect with Moraes's head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Van Roosmalen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Moraes's head.
Van Roosmalen has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Moraes is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Moraes is rocked!
Moraes walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!

In his post fight interview, Robin Van Roosmalen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
