Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Navas (ranked 3158 p4p, 336 weight class) and Seamus Coleman (ranked 3575 p4p, 366 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Navas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seamus Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman scoring well with a low kick there.
We've been told by Navas's head coaches at Know-How Knights that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Navas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Coleman. Coleman obviously looking to wear him down.
We've been informed that Coleman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Navas throws out a loose jab but Coleman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Coleman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Navas momentarily.
Navas throws a body shot but no joy.

Coleman moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Navas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coleman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Navas has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Coleman.
Good leg kick by Coleman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Coleman is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Coleman digs a right hand underneath Navas's ribcage. Navas let out a lung full of air as it connected.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Coleman takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Navas is looking to control Coleman's arms but Coleman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Navas has his back to the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Coleman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Coleman digs a right hand into Navas's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Navas's gas tank.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Coleman thuds his right hand into Navas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Navas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Coleman.
Coleman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Coleman lands a left and a right that send Navas crashing to the mat, dazed. Coleman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Navas fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Coleman checks it well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That kick from Coleman tenderised Navas's leg. Navas is trying to keep his angry face on.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Coleman in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Navas is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Coleman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Oooooh!!! Coleman has knocked Navas down with a huge combo! Coleman steps away and waves a wobbly Navas back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Navas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Seamus Coleman seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Coleman's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Navas tries to bum rush Coleman with a series of wild strikes but Coleman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Coleman was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Navas on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Navas will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Seamus Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Coleman feints and then cracks Navas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Navas down.

The fighters circle, before Coleman throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Navas's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Coleman lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
