And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tierro bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lewis's head.
Lewis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lewis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lewis has his takedown stuffed
and Tierro counters with a right hand to the body.
Lewis throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Tierro to counter with a crisp jab.
Lewis has a takedown stuffed.
Tierro appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Cariltos Tierro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Lewis.
Lewis misses with a left hand
and Tierro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kyle Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tierro connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lewis's hands.
Tierro lands with a good body shot.
Tierro throws a low kick, looking for Lewis's leg but Lewis calmly moves out of range.

Lewis gets a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lewis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tierro is just riding it out for now. Lewis eventually gives up the hold.
Lewis looks winded!

Tierro is looking for a sweep. Lewis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tierro controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Lewis thows a huge punch but Tierro dodges it nicely.

Tierro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lewis on the ground.
Tierro preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tierro is trying to maintain the position but Lewis is very close to passing his half guard.
Lewis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tierro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tierro tries to get to full guard but Lewis has control of the leg.
Tierro is trying to control but Lewis manages to pass to mount!
Tierro avoids a series of strikes thrown by Lewis.
Tierro is looking to get to half guard.
Lewis scoring with strikes but Tierro is staying in there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lewis trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lewis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

It looks like Cariltos Tierro has been cut.
Tierro tries to reverse the position but Lewis maintains control.
Lewis looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Tierro covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
