Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carmen Hines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Franks!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks tries a head kick but it misses.
Franks looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hines misses with a head kick.

Hines has taken the fight to the clinch.
Franks prevents the takedown attempt.
Hines wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Franks has him pressed against the cage.
Hines tries to score a body lock takedown but Franks shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hines drops down looking for an ankle pick but Franks pulls his leg out and moves away.

Hines drives through and clinches with Franks against the cage.

Hines is trying to drag Franks to the mat but Franks just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hines feints and then cracks Franks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Franks down.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hines goes for a takedown in the clinch but Franks prevents it.

Hines leaves Franks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hines wants to clinch up but Franks keeps it at a distance.

Franks passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hines!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hines is bucking up trying to escape but Franks cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Franks shoots in looking for a takedown but Hines manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Franks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hines really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Franks closes the distance and clinches up with Hines, looking for a takedown. Franks pushes Hines against the cage but Hines circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hines seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Franks for as long as he can get away with.

Hines is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Franks is just riding it out for now. Hines eventually gives up the hold.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hines, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
