Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frankie Valenzuela!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Killer!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Killer moves into the clinch.
Killer is trying to force a seperation but Valenzuela has the dominant position.

Killer tries to circle away but Valenzuela has him pinned against the cage.
Killer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Valenzuela wants to get back to striking at distance but Killer won't allow it.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Valenzuela.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Killer jumps guard and drags Valenzuela to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Killer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Valenzuela stacks Killer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Valenzuela!
Valenzuela could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Killer tries to improve position but can't.

Valenzuela slows the pace down.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killer can do anything to dispel that myth.
Killer is trying to work for a sweep but Valenzuela has mounted him!
Valenzuela is landing with some decent strikes but Killer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Valenzuela controlling the pace for now.
Killer tries to hold on but Valenzuela postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Valenzuela cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Killer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Killer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Killer tries to hold on but Valenzuela postures up.
Valenzuela with a couple of short strikes.
Killer is in all sorts of trouble here.

Killer tries to lock up and control but Valenzuela gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Valenzuela has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Valenzuela sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Killer sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Valenzuela prevents Killer from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Killer is trying to escape back to his feet but Valenzuela uses the scramble to pass into side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Killer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Killer throws a strike but Valenzuela rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Killer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Valenzuela slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Valenzuela seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Killer for as long as he can get away with.

Killer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Valenzuela is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Valenzuela tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Killer manages to circle out of the way.

Killer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Killer wants it to stay on the feet.

and Valenzuela counters by moving into the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Killer just misses with a elbow thrown towards Valenzuela's brow.

Killer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Valenzuela is keeping the position for now.
Killer looking to sit in guard and control but Valenzuela gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Valenzuela stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Killer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Valenzuela at a distance.

It looks like Frankie Valenzuela has been cut.

Killer has managed to clinch.
Valenzuela prevents Killer from breaking the clinch.
Valenzuela scores with a shot to the side of Killer's head.
Killer is trying to drag Valenzuela to the mat but Valenzuela just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Valenzuela misses with the head strike.
Valenzuela just leaning against Killer, taking a breather.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Killer blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Killer tries to break free but Valenzuela pushes him back against the cage.
Killer is looking to break free of the clinch but Valenzuela has double underhooks.

Jack Killer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Killer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Valenzuela defends well and Killer ends up having to push Valenzuela into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Killer thuds a left hand into Valenzuela's body.

Valenzuela pushes Killer off and scrambles back to his feet.
Killer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Valenzuela closes this distance looking for a takedown but Killer circles away.

Killer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Killer won't allow Valenzuela to sweep him here.

Valenzuela postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Frankie Valenzuela overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Killer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Valenzuela distracts Killer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Valenzuela content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Valenzuela is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Killer wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Valenzuela is now in half guard.
Killer wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Valenzuela looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Valenzuela is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Killer has managed to free his arm - good work.

Killer manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Killer pivots, looking for a leg kick but Valenzuela is out of range and Killer settles back down.

Killer jabs Valenzuela to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Killer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Valenzuela looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Valenzuela gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Killer counter with a right hand.
Danga de danga de dang - Killer scores with a four punch combination!
Jack Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Killer instigates a clinch.
Valenzuela gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Killer.

Killer breaks from the clinch.
Killer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jack Killer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Killer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Killer throws a solid leg kick but Valenzuela takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Killer.

Killer gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Valenzuela tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A frustrated look appears on Valenzuela's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Killer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Valenzuela's elbow.
Valenzuela has a couple of punches blocked by Killer.

Killer pulls guard effortlessly.
Valenzuela engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Killer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jack Killer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Killer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
