PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Jordan (ranked 24115 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manoy Timmoy (ranked 24688 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan comes to the cage accompanied by Ape Sh^t y the Carters. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Manoy Timmoy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manoy Timmoy!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan with a poor takedown
and Timmoy counters with a right hand to the body.
Jordan has his takedown stuffed
and Timmoy counters with a right hand to the body.
Jordan looks for a takedown but Timmoy sprawls well.
And Timmoy responds with a good body kick, but Jordan manages to step out the way in time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Jordan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jordan throws a low kick but Timmoy moves out of range easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Timmoy misses.
Jason Jordan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Timmoy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Nice takedown defense from Timmoy. No joy for Jordan on that attempt.
Jordan cracks Timmoy with a right hand to the side of the head.
Timmoy tries to clinch there but Jordan circles away.
Jordan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jordan clinches up with Timmoy and pushes him back against the cage.
Jordan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jordan blocks a body shot from Timmoy.
Jordan managing to block the knees to the body from Timmoy.
A right hook to the body lands for Timmoy.

Timmoy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jordan clinches with his opponent.
Timmoy doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Timmoy lands a body punch.

Jordan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jordan tries to land a body kick
and Timmoy counters with a left to the body.
Jordan thumps Timmoy with a low kick.
Timmoy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jordan misses with a kick to the body
and Timmoy counters with a right hand to the body.
Jordan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Timmoy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jordan thinking.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Timmoy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jordan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Timmoy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
What's Timmoy going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Timmoy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jordan asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Jordan rushes Timmoy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jordan is trying to pull guard but Timmoy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Come on Jordan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jordan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jordan is trying to push Timmoy away but Timmoy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Jordan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jordan throws a predictable looking body shot
and Timmoy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jordan thinking.
Jason Jordan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jordan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Timmoy is fending him off so far but Jordan persists. Nope, Timmoy circles away and we're back to standing.

Jordan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Timmoy's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jordan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Jordan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Timmoy for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Timmoy wants to get back to his feet but Jordan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jordan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jordan wants to stand and escape but instead Timmoy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Timmoy trying to control but Jordan is working from the bottom.

Jordan looking for subs off his back but Timmoy has passed one foot through into half guard.

Timmoy decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Timmoy is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jordan rather than just go for the knockout.
Jordan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jordan.
Jordan tries to clinch but Timmoy is having none of it.
Timmoy now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Timmoy tries to keep at a distance but Jordan has taken the fight into the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Timmoy.

Jordan breaks from the clinch.
Timmoy tries to clinch up.
Timmoy wants to clinch up but Jordan keeps it at a distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jordan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Timmoy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Timmoy avoids a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Jordan dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Jordan tests Timmoy's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jordan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Timmoy pinned against the cage. Timmoy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A nice side step and Timmoy releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Jordan misses with a combination
and Timmoy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Timmoy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jordan.
Jordan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Timmoy's sensitive parts.

Jordan keeps the fight on the outside.
Jordan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Jordan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Timmoy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jordan.
A countering left hand to the body from Timmoy misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Jordan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jordan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Timmoy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Timmoy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jordan misses with a takedown
and Timmoy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Timmoy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Timmoy closes the distance and pushes Jordan back into the cage.

Jordan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Timmoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jordan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Timmoy's guard.
Timmoy is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jordan dives into side control.

Timmoy trying his best to control but Jordan has mounted him.
Timmoy wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Timmoy avoids a strike by Jordan and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Jordan's guard! Fantastic escape!

Timmoy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jordan drives through with a takedown into Timmoy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Jordan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jordan wants to control from the top but Timmoy keeps moving.
Timmoy is pulling down on Jordan's head. It's preventing any offense from Jordan, at least for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Timmoy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jordan's guard.


And that's the end of the fight!
Manoy Timmoy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Timmoy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
