The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Davies.
Spar swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Davies misses with a double jab
and Davies takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Mike Davies has been cut.
Davies misses with a combination
and Spar counters with an outside leg kick.
Davies connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Spar scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Davies doesn't seem bothered though.
Davies swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Spar counter with a right hand.
Davies throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davies throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spar scores with a counter punch that sends Davies to the canvas! Spar smells blood - he's punishing Davies with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Davies has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). 4 Spar!
A relieved looking 4 Spar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
