Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chad Hooper (ranked 6272 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka Zulu (ranked 4522 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaka Zulu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zulu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Zulu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Zulu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hooper has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hooper is trying to control Zulu's posture but Zulu avoids it.
Hooper could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Zulu connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hooper some visible discomfort.

Zulu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zulu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Oh Hooper is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zulu works to advance to full mount. Hooper defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Zulu lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Zulu cracks Hooper with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
