Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler McDrunken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rey Mysterio!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mysterio showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McDrunken.

Mysterio closes the distance and clinches.
McDrunken has Mysterio pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mysterio manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mysterio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mysterio gets the takedown into side control.

Mysterio thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McDrunken wants to control but Mysterio postures up.
McDrunken is not content to let Mysterio control the position.
McDrunken is trying to control Mysterio's posture but Mysterio avoids it.
McDrunken is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mysterio's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Mysterio wants to work for an arm triangle but McDrunken is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mysterio is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McDrunken gets back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDrunken pushes Mysterio off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

McDrunken closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mysterio can do anything to dispel that myth.

McDrunken has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mysterio is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. McDrunken yanks on the arm and Mysterio is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by McDrunken.
