The crowd seem to be enjoying Sly's choice of entrance music: In Flames - My Sweet Shadow. AB Sly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, AB Sly!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Manupbr's waist but Manupbr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sly off to one side.
Manupbr wants to slow Sly down by chopping away at his legs.
Danga de danga de dang - Sly scores with a four punch combination!

It looks like Mini Manupbr has been cut.
Sly scores with a sloppy right hand. Manupbr should have avoided that one.
Sly thows a body shot but no joy.
Sly misses with a series of wild punches.
Sly turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sly looks to throw the jab but Manupbr is out of range.
Sly uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Manupbr.
Sly avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Manupbr throws out a loose jab but Sly uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sly misses with an attempted mid kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Sly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sly defending well as Manupbr loads up on a big left hand.
Manupbr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Manupbr takes a swing at Sly's ribcage but misses.
Sly slips under a jab.
Sly throws a quick inside leg kick.
A solid body kick from Sly.
Manupbr is breathing heavily.
Manupbr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sly moves away.

A head kick lands from Sly that sends Manupbr to the canvas. Manupbr tries to scramble back to his feet but Sly brings him back down into side control.

Manupbr throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sly digs a good body shot into Manupbr's ribs.
Mini Manupbr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sly drops Manupbr with a beautiful combination! Manupbr stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sly is looking for the KO!

Manupbr is rocked!

Manupbr gets caught flat footed, as Sly shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Oh Manupbr is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Manupbr is working an open guard so Sly takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sly lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Manupbr sprawling to the canvas. Sly follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Manupbr hang on?

Mini Manupbr's cut is getting worse.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sly thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sly missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Manupbr seems to have got his legs back now.
Sly is trying to control. Manupbr wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Still in half guard, Sly seems content to control.
Sly's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sly tries to stand and escape but Manupbr is controlling the position.

Manupbr kicks off Sly and gets to his feet.
Manupbr bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sly throws a head kick that half lands.
Manupbr lands a nice looking body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Manupbr, as that shot connected.

It looks like AB Sly has been cut.
Manupbr steps into range and cracks Sly with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Sly flops backwards and Manupbr dives into his guard looking to finish!

Sly is rocked!
Manupbr controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sly is still in real trouble! Can Manupbr finish him?

Sly is working an open guard so Manupbr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sly seems to have recovered his senses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
BOOM! Manupbr lands a beautiful left hook that drops Sly. Sly tries to recover but Manupbr is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Sly lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mini Manupbr!
