Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Benton (ranked 4832 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ghiegz Ramos (ranked 4831 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ramos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Benton to the ground. Ramos is now in Benton's guard.
Benton pushes Ramos off and gets back to his feet.
Benton wants to clinch up but Ramos keeps it at a distance.

Ramos takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Benton manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ramos keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Benton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ramos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Benton to the mat. Benton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Ramos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Benton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
