Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Black (ranked 2995 p4p, 148 weight class) and Ichiro Suzuki (ranked 4155 p4p, 188 weight class). Black's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Thug for Life. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Suzuki is trying to get back to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Black has the hooks in. Suzuki is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Black doesn't have the hooks in and Suzuki manages to turn into his guard.
Suzuki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Suzuki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Black tries to get out of the position.
Black seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Suzuki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Suzuki wants to control from the top but Black keeps moving.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Suzuki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Black swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Black closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Suzuki's guard.

Black tries to free his leg and advance position but Suzuki is retaining full guard.

Suzuki has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Black should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Suzuki has tightened it up now! Black should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Ichiro Suzuki thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
