Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleo Mckay (ranked 4873 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Smithson (ranked 24860 p4p, 0 weight class). Smithson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Matt Smithson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mckay shoots in and bounces Smithson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Smithson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mckay manages to pass to side control.
Smithson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Mckay controlling the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mckay looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Mckay decides to stand and escape the position.

Mckay closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Smithson tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Mckay manages to move to mount!
Mckay lands with some strikes.
Mckay moves to take his opponent's back.
I would not like to be Smithson right now.
Mckay is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Smithson is covering up but some of the strikes from Mckay are getting through and doing damage.
Mckay biding his time, looking for the opening.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
