The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganador is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ximenes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ximenes lands with a right hand.
Ximenes clobbers Ganador with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ganador drops his hands momentarily and Ximenes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ganador shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ximenes pinned against the cage. Ximenes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Ximenes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Ganador. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ganador tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ximenes defends well and Ganador ends up having to push Ximenes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ganador is breathing heavily.
Ximenes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ganador takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ximenes lands a nice hook to Ganador's body. Ganador takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ximenes thuds a left hand into Ganador's body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ximenes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ganador looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Ganador takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ganador closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nice uppercut lands for Ximenes. That snapped Ganador's head back.
Ximenes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ximenes connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ganador takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ximenes connects with a crisp jab.

Ganador is rocked!
Ximenes is stalking Ganador. Ganador circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Ximenes, and it's lights out! Ganador really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
