Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blatz Beer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ryan Sakuraba enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blatz Beer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beer tries for a takedown but Sakuraba sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sakuraba stuffs the takedown attempt from Beer. Beer gets slowly back to his feet.

Sakuraba scores a takedown into full mount!
Sakuraba manages to capitalize on a mistake by Beer to take his back!
Sakuraba connects with a big shot to the side of Beer's head.
Beer tries to escape the position.
Beer trying to control the action but Sakuraba just sinks the hooks in.

Sakuraba is persistently looking for the submission but Beer is defending it well.
Sakuraba controlling well, preventing Beer from escaping the position.

Sakuraba is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Beer is defending well though. Sakuraba let's go of the attempt for now.
Beer tries to escape but Sakuraba has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Beer rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Sakuraba wants to control but Beer is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beer tries to roll over but Sakuraba keeps him under control.

Beer is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Sakuraba pulls his head out easily.
Beer is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sakuraba in particular looking to stall.
Sakuraba lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Sakuraba is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sakuraba tries to pass the half guard into mount. Beer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Sakuraba decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Beer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sakuraba won't allow Beer to sweep him here.
Sakuraba wants to pass the guard but Beer is keeping the position.

Beer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sakuraba can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Beer has an active guard here but Sakuraba has managed to pass into half guard.
Sakuraba has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sakuraba prevents Beer from getting the reversal.

Beer is trying desperately to improve position.
Beer is in a horrible position here. Sakuraba smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sakuraba wants to control the pace but Beer is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Beer is looking to improve his position but Sakuraba isn't that keen on the idea.

Sakuraba is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Beer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Beer gets caught flat footed, as Sakuraba shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Beer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sakuraba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sakuraba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Beer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sakuraba puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Beer tries to get to full guard but Sakuraba has control of the leg.

Sakuraba is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Beer has escaped the position, nice work there.
Beer is not content to let Sakuraba control the position.
Beer is pushing Sakuraba's head away, looking to escape. Sakuraba manages to hold on to the position though.

Sakuraba has hold of Beer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Beer seems comfortable defending it but Sakuraba has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Beer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Beer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sakuraba couldn't care less - he's delighted!
