Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Horacio Hickman (ranked 4868 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Poulin (ranked 5035 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuck Poulin looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickman misses with a wild combination.
Poulin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hickman tries a head kick but it misses.

Hickman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Poulin is looking to escape.
Hickman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hickman in particular looking to stall.

Poulin tries to kick Hickman off in order to stand up. Hickman Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Poulin wants to get back to his feet but Hickman is dominant here and he's now got Poulin's back!

Poulin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hickman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Poulin to the mat. Poulin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Hickman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Poulin has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hickman is on him like a limpet, forcing Poulin back against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hickman is on top in guard.

Hickman drops back looking for a leg! Poulin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poulin manages to kick Hickman off! Hickman jumps back into Poulin's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poulin wants to stand and escape but Hickman is having none of it.

Hickman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hickman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hickman drops back looking for a leg! Poulin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poulin manages to kick Hickman off! Hickman jumps back into Poulin's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Poulin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Poulin misses with a low kick.
Hickman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hickman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Poulin defends it nicely.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Poulin wants to get back to striking at distance but Hickman won't allow it.

Hickman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hickman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Horacio Hickman.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hickman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
