Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Carnivale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lei is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rising Dawn. Chan Lei is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesus Carnivale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Chan Lei!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carnivale paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lei closes the distance and clinches up with Carnivale, looking for a takedown. Lei pushes Carnivale against the cage but Carnivale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lei misses with a head kick.
Lei shoots for a double leg takedown but Carnivale sprawls well. He's pushed Lei's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lei tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carnivale was well out of range. Poor timing from Lei.
Lei does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lei misses with a low kick.
Lei shoots for a takedown but Carnivale saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jesus Carnivale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chan Lei.
Lei doesn't manage to clinch there - Carnivale circles away.

Lei closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carnivale to the mat! Carnivale manages to get full guard.
Carnivale is striking off his back. Lei thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Carnivale keeping hold of Lei's head, controlling as best he can.
Well, if Lei is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lei missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Lei is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Carnivale tries to hold on but Lei postures up.
Carnivale is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Carnivale swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Lei prevents Carnivale from getting the reversal.

Lei looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Carnivale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lei on the ground.

Carnivale holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Lei tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Lei tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Carnivale avoids a series of strikes thrown by Lei.
Lei unloads with some shots from mount but Carnivale bucks and avoids them well.

Lei quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Lei but it's paid off an Carnivale is forced to tap! Nice work by Lei.
