The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DownUnder shoots in and drives through. McDermott sprawls well.
DownUnder shoots in but no luck this time.
DownUnder looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McDermott is fending him off so far but DownUnder persists. Nope, McDermott circles away and we're back to standing.
Colin McDermott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony DownUnder.

McDermott closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming DownUnder to the mat! DownUnder manages to get full guard.

McDermott has gone for a leg lock! DownUnder slips out almost immediately though and dives into McDermott's guard.

DownUnder has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McDermott is proving hard to escape from.
DownUnder working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as DownUnder accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

DownUnder is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

DownUnder drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DownUnder jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
DownUnder looks gassed!

DownUnder wants to control from the top but McDermott keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDermott looking for a triangle here. DownUnder is fighting it but it looks tight! McDermott pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, DownUnder is tapping out - this one is all over!
