PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kobayashi Jin (ranked 3374 p4p, 371 weight class) and Hitori Hanzo (ranked 2599 p4p, 294 weight class). Hanzo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Last Caress by The Misfits. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hanzo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jin wants to control from the top but Hanzo keeps moving.

Hanzo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Jin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hanzo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hanzo keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Hanzo tries to roll over but Jin keeps him under control.

Jin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hanzo defends it well.

Jin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hanzo is just riding it out for now. Jin eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jin seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Jin has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hanzo doesn't defend quickly enough and Jin has managed to lock this one up! Can Hanzo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jin on a fantastic submission victory.
