Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 1999 p4p, 234 weight class) and Dominick De Struicao (ranked 6025 p4p, 451 weight class). De Struicao comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Walk With Me In Hell kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dominick De Struicao has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Glass Joe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dominick De Struicao!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Joe misses.
De Struicao scores with a hook to the body. Joe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Joe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from De Struicao enables Joe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. De Struicao manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Joe is stalling in the full guard.
Joe pushes down on De Struicao's leg and manages to get into half guard.
De Struicao is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joe is trying to work for a kimura but De Struicao is defending well.

Joe wants to advance to full mount but De Struicao doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Joe throws a leg kick but De Struicao sees it coming and checks it nicely.
De Struicao lands with a thumping leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Joe.
Joe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
De Struicao throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Joe throws a big shot that misses.
Joe walks into a jab.
Joe fails with a takedown attempt.

De Struicao throws a half hearted mid kick.
Joe went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

De Struicao misses with the head strike.

Joe manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
De Struicao slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
De Struicao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Joe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
De Struicao's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That kick from De Struicao tenderised Joe's leg. Joe is trying to keep his angry face on.

De Struicao is looking to slow Joe down with leg kicks.

and De Struicao counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
De Struicao lands a jab.
Glass Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Struicao stuffs the takedown.
De Struicao tries a quick counter leg kick but Joe is wise to it.

De Struicao has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
De Struicao feints and then cracks Joe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Joe down.
Horrible takedown attempt by Joe or perhaps it was just good defense by De Struicao, which made it look bad.
Joe fails to land the takedown.
Dominick De Struicao seems to be getting the better of the standup.
De Struicao moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Joe takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
De Struicao pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Joe back to the cage. De Struicao follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Joe is rocked!
De Struicao has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Joe takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Oh Joe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
De Struicao has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
De Struicao lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
De Struicao fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Joe to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Joe looks to clinch but De Struicao throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Joe taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Dominick De Struicao!
Dominick De Struicao spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
