Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Goji Kano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reinaldo Araujo!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Araujo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kano to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kano slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kano has hold of Araujo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Araujo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kano cranks the arm and Araujo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Araujo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Goji Kano!
