The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schultz rushes Terrence and presses him up against the cage.
Schultz is pressed up against the cage. Terrence has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Schultz down to the mat. Schultz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Schultz moves into the clinch successfully.

Terrence has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Schultz clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Schultz is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Terrence gets his way!

A bit of a pause in the action here. Terrence controlling the positon.

Terrence has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Terrence changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schultz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Schultz pushes Terrence away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Terrence gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Schultz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Terrence wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Schultz is trying to control Terrence's posture but Terrence avoids it.
Terrence just content to control the position.
Schultz wants to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Schultz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Terrence is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schultz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Schultz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Drew Terrence is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Terrence manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Schultz on his heels. He'll look to pass Schultz's guard now, I'm sure.

Schultz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Terrence doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Terrence manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Terrence seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Schultz for as long as he can get away with.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Terrence's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

It looked like Terrence was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Schultz.
