Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Alexandrov (ranked 2006 p4p, 252 weight class) and Nazz Lee (ranked 2233 p4p, 275 weight class). Alexey Alexandrov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee moves out of range as Alexandrov strikes.
Alexandrov wants to clinch but Lee slips to the side
enabling Lee to counter with a crisp jab.
Alexandrov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alexandrov is in Lee's guard.
Lee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alexandrov defends well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alexandrov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Alexey Alexandrov will probably get the nod.

I was talking to Alexandrov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Lee's coach down at Touch Of Death Combat Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lee's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Lee is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Alexandrov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Alexandrov shrugs it off.

I would just about give that final round to Nazz Lee.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
